Welcome to RetailGenie! This guide walks you through the initial setup process so you can start using the platform right away — whether you're running a mattress showroom, furniture store, appliance dealer, or any other retail operation.
Step 1: Accept Your Invitation
You'll receive an email invitation from your store owner or manager. Click the link to create your account. You'll set your password and basic profile information.
Check your spam or promotions folder if you don't see the invitation email within a few minutes.
Step 2: Complete Your Profile
Add your name, role, and contact information. If you're a salesperson, this is where your commission profile gets linked — so make sure your details are accurate.
- Click your avatar in the top-right corner
- Select 'Profile Settings'
- Fill in your name, phone number, and preferred notification method
- Upload a profile photo (optional but helpful for team recognition)
- Click 'Save Changes'
Step 3: Explore the Dashboard
Once logged in, you'll see your role-specific dashboard. Salespeople see daily goals and pending follow-ups. Managers see store-wide KPIs. Drivers see today's route. Take a minute to click around — the interface is designed to be intuitive.
Step 4: Set Your Notification Preferences
Navigate to Profile Settings → Notifications. Choose how you want to receive alerts — push notifications, email, or SMS. We recommend enabling push notifications at minimum so you never miss a follow-up reminder or delivery update.
Step 5: Download the Mobile App
RetailGenie works on any device, but for salespeople on the showroom floor and drivers on the road, the mobile experience is optimized for quick actions. Add RetailGenie to your home screen for instant access.
Bookmark the login page on your device so you can access RetailGenie quickly at the start of every shift.
Troubleshooting Common Setup Issues
- Invitation expired? Ask your admin to resend from Settings → Team
- Can't set password? Make sure your password is at least 8 characters with a mix of letters and numbers
- Wrong role assigned? Contact your store admin to update your role — they can change it without creating a new account
